Wiradjuri - Honouring Our Roots

At Native Authenticity, our journey begins with the Wiradjuri people – the largest Aboriginal tribe in New South Wales. The founder of Native Authenticity is a proud Wiradjuri person, and it is their deep cultural roots and connection to Country that inspired the creation of this platform. Their vision is reflected in every part of what we do.

Known as the “people of the three rivers” – the Macquarie (Wambool), Lachlan (Kalari), and Murrumbidgee (Murrumbidjeri) – the Wiradjuri people have long held a deep and enduring connection to Country. These rivers have nourished our people for countless generations and remain central to Wiradjuri storytelling, identity, and cultural practice.

Wiradjuri – A Legacy of Strength

The Wiradjuri Nation spans a vast region of central New South Wales, including towns such as Wagga Wagga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Condobolin, and Narrandera.

The goanna is often recognised as a key Wiradjuri totem and holds an important place in traditional stories and teachings.

The Wiradjuri are widely known for their storytelling, art, dance and strong culture connection to the land and family.

Our mission is to ensure that these stories and values are not only preserved but celebrated through the products we offer and the stories we share.

Why This Collection Matters

This collection is more than just merchandise – it’s about reclaiming identity, amplifying Aboriginal voices, and creating visible spaces for Aboriginal culture to thrive. Every purchase helps celebrate Aboriginal identity while supporting the stories, artists, and communities behind the designs.
